Last year, for the first time in more than 20 years, published works entered the public domain. This year, again, the Center for the Study of the Public Domain has given us a list of some of the works that were published in 1924 and that are now free for us all to use for whatever purpose we like. Did you ever want to turn Lord Dunsany’s The King of Elfland’s Daughter into a thrilling stage spectacle? Now you can.

Speaking of copyright, I provide the following link with trepidation. I have not had time to go exploring all 45 links they provide where you can “legally download” books for free, but at least a few of them sounded as if they might not be as legal as all that. Caveat emptor.
