Progress on the book
/You are probably astonished—puzzled? relieved?—that I haven't really whined about the book, Lichtenbergianism: procrastination as a creative strategy, as I promised I would. I'm not sure why I haven't exposed my struggles to my adoring fans. I've done it with every other major project I've ever worked on (mostly at my personal blog at dalelyles.com), so why not here?
Who knows? Let's catch up, shall we?

Most of the book is finished, at least in a second draft kind of way. It's currently at 36,000 words.
I am now struggling to finish the chapters on STEAL FROM THE BEST, AUDIENCE, and ABANDONMENT, and then I'll go back through the whole thing and edit for tone and consistency.
The only major hold-up I see in the next two weeks (other than having to design a burn) is that I would like to include personal anecdotes from my fellow Lichtenbergian Society members, but true to our mantra they have dragged their feet on providing said anecdotes. Oh well, that's an easy thing to delete from the file.
I still have plenty of time to finish this and have it in your hands by Labor Day. He said with unreasonable optimism.
